And get this—over 28 billion glass jars (not just candle jars) end up in landfills each year. Humans are manufacturing unfathomable amounts of jars and vessels—intended for a 1-time-use!!!
But now—we are changing that.

Thanks to this tiny revolution, we don’t have to sit by and watch this waste epidemic wreak havoc on the Earth…we have options!

Welcome to our world of upcycling and creation! As a candlemaker, I LOVE creating a quality and beautiful end product candles. As a thrifter, I LOVE finding old things and continuing to enjoy them. As my candle-making journey unfolded, my love for it dwindled as I became more aware of the ever-growing candle industry—endless manufacturing and subsequent waste. I realized the only way forward was to combine my love of making high-quality candles with my love of reusing and recycling.
And thus…the upcycled jar candles were born (/reborn) into the world!
Now, the fun and fulfillment I feel in the creation process is amplified by the fact that I feel intrinsically rewarded for turning waste into something better—a high-quality, non-toxic candle.
As it is, the life of a candle is quite ephemeral…our life on earth is short too. Let’s keep it lit!
